Ilove my Gotham Jacket. It is very comfortable and warm. I tried the Tempest Down jacket it was very stiff and not at all comfortable. the Gotham Jacklet is now my most favorite of all the jackets I own. I live in Chicago and the weather here has had a wind chill of -15 this week. I was very warm in my jacket!!!!

I just received my North Face Gotham Jacket in black today and I love it! It is so warm, and the down is so soft. I also love the fur on the hood, and if you don't like the first after a few years, you can easily take it off with a zipper. I am 5 foot 4 inches and about 120 pounds and I ordered the Small, and it is perfect for me. There is even enough room to wear a bulky sweater or a sweatshirt and it still wouldn't be too tight. Overall, this is a GREAT product. LOVE ITTT!

Well, The jacket itself is great. Keeps me warm (although this winter in nyc is pretty warm so far).But I have a problem with the jacket.
First of all - order it a size smaller. It was big on me. Maybe it because I'm not used to wearing bubble jackets.
Second of all - the wrist collars. The velco shreds the left one up, and they are extremely flexible so the cold air travels up my sleeve.
Altogether this jacket is pretty grand - the feathers aren't coming out yet or anything. A good buy if you're the type thats always cold.

Live in Wisconsin and have alot of winter here. I wanted a jacket that was warm and fashionable. The fur collar is removable and the runs a little big. Very warm and repells water. LOve it. Altrec was so easy to work with let me know when and where my jacket was. Took a week to get. THe jacket also has grey lining so it goes with everything. very happy!!!

This jacket is toasty warm and holds up well during the coldest New York City days. However, it is a little bulky and the hood does not detach, which makes it less fashionable than it could be. It will definitely protect you from the elements though!

I wanted to love this jacket!! Maybe I should have gotten a small. I am 5'6" and ~110 lbs and the extra-small was just too short and I would have had to keep pulling it down. I think that's partially the style, that it's hip and more cropped than the usual parka, but I need tummy coverage in the cold weather...and in other weather, for that matter. Am going to give the Nuptse a try. Altrec was awesome!!

I wore this jacket to a NFL football game in Seattle, Wa. in December. Yes it was raining. A lot. This jacket kept me warm in temperatures below 40 but found out right away that it was not waterproof. Once the jacket got wet, I got cold. If you are wearing this in a dry climate, it will keep you toasty. Not great for wet snow or rain. I like the fur trim on the hood. The jacket is a little short waisted. I felt it ran true to size. A little pricey.

I was expecting it to be a little more fitted - it has a very puffy, round shape. Otherwise, it's a nice jacket. I got it in Sweet Berry, which is a pretty lavender color (and true to the color on the website).

Altrec's service was great. I got the jacket in less than a week and I live out of the States. The jacket, however, wasn't exactly what I thought it would be. It is much shorter than I thought, measuring from the bottom of the neck not middle back, and the waistline does not taper in at all. Looks like a bomber jacket. A bit disappointed.

It is an amazing looking jacket I love it. It does however run a little big. It is so warm which is awsome. The only problem with it being so warm is that i cant wear it all of the time. If you want it to look good and be warm that is great you will get all of that. Just make sure that you want to be super warm. I love the jacket and it is everything that i needed.

This coat is super warm and would be heaven if it was just a bit longer. I have to pull it down in the back when I sit down. I also have the complaint about the cuffs that others have posted...the fabric doesn't hold up well. For the money, I'm a bit disappointed.

..it wasn't for this one little functional flaw. The velcro along the zipper snags and pulls on the knitted cuff of my left sleeve when I go to zip and unzip my jacket. This annoys me greatly because I would think North Face would be more thoughtful in their product design.

I love northface jackets and I purchased this one and I love the looks of it, but even one size up doesn't fit around my chest. Are they shrinking this area for people who need a little more room? I never had this problem before.
