Slip into a cool and natural casual sandal design that accommodates your custom orthotics and special inserts. Unlike sandals with one-type-fits-all footbeds, the Bite Granola minimizes pain and fatigue with a special Orthosport outsole and midsole that accommodates custom orthotics and over-the-counter footbeds, resulting in comfortable casual footwear for the rest of us. Many footwear manufacturers offer flat or semi-contoured sandal designs, but the Granola has a wider, slightly articulated platform with a supportive heel cup and pronounced arch shank, resulting in better stability and a flex that promotes a natural heel-to-toe walking stride. I have been wearing these orthotic adaptable sandals for a year and am ordering my second pair today. I love them. Both types of my orthotics fit. I was afraid I wouldn't find them again.

I have plater fasitas and these are the greatest sandals, I also own the OS Thong which is also wonderful. They're aren't the most beautiful sandals but at this point in my life it's all about comfort.

i normally wear nike or addidas sandals, but last year i got tired of them wearing out so quickly. i wear them everyday. i saw these black bite sandals advertised on the net and thought i would give them a try. i have very sensitive feet and i stand with my weight on my heels. i know, this is definitely a slouchy posture, but hey, i'm 39 and not goin to change. i wore those black sandals everyday for over a year!!!! of course, they got a little time off for good behavior when i went out to dinner and played ball, but i even wore them outside with tons of snow. everyone thought i was crazy, but i told them that as long as my feet are comfy, i'm a happy person! i just retired them and am now wearing the granola colored ones. my legs and back are very happy, and my friends and family are very appreciative also. they were tired of the black ones. thank you, thank you, thank you for such comfortable and DURABLE shoes!!!

Full agreement with the first reviewer--these hold orthodics perfectly and are extremely comfortable for walking around, even all day. Great shock absorption Straps are wide and keep sandal from slipping/rubbing. 2nd the request for a dressy sandal with all the same great features! Highly recommended.

Though my initial reaction to my new Bite Sandals was: "Ohhh, gunboats, diesel shoes," I have fallen in love with them. My orthotics don't move in them. My dogs are cool and comfy now. In fact, I feel like a "normal" or less "foot-challenged" individual in the Bite Granola. Please don't ever even consider discontinuing this shoe! (Aditional colors would be appreciated, encouraged even.) Now, if they can come up with a nice work/dinner, orthotic sandal - a little more delicate - I will bestow the title of SHOE GOD/GODDESS on the company.

Right out of the box they felt great. With my custom orthotics I can wear them all day. I wish the straps were a little narrower and the buckles a little smaller. They would look a little more feminine (they are kind of clunky). Also the straps are a little warm since they cover so much of the instep. For foot and arch support . . . great.

My custom orthodics fit in these pretty good, better than any other sandal that I have found, but they still slide around a bit, and I think the bed needs to be a bit deeper to make it better. I would like someone to make a dressier sandal for a custom orthodic.

The quality and comfort of the sandal seem great. However, I ordered them as they were promoted to wear with your custom orthodics. The orthodic in the sandal was easily removable, however my orthodic did not fit in the shoe bed.
