No arches? NO PROBLEM!!
I bought a pair of these for my first trip to Costa Rica last year and was thrilled by the results. I have very weak ankles and VERY flat feet, so shoes are a topic I take quite seriously. If my back ever starts to hurt from wearing other shoes, I will wear these for one day and I return to top form. Lightweight with serious traction and longevity on the soles, these shoes are the ticket for any active person. When packing light for varying temperatures, these are the way to go - wear a sock with them and voila: instant sneakers! I have so many people ask me about them when I wear them and I can't wait to sing the praises of these shoes. (My husband swears I should work for Mion.)

Best yet
My 4th pair of Mion's and so far are the most functional and the most comfortable yet. That says a lot especially since I have plantar faciitis and siactica.

Roomy Toe Box
I purchased the Mion Women's current Sandal in four different color varieties. I just had a good feeling that these would be the right choice shoes for me, and they were. I have a wide forefoot and a narrow heal. I find it very difficult to find shoes that fit and feel comfortable. If I buy wide shoes, the heel is too large and my feet slide forward, often resulting in black toenails. A lot of people recommended ordering smaller sizes, but I'm glad that I went with my usual size. I like the extra toe box room. Because these sandals are very adjustable, it is easy to make the rest of the shoe snug where you like. These shoes provide some toe and ankle protection too.

Women's current sandal
A neighbor had a pair of the Men's Current Sandals, and told me how comfortable they were. I decided to try a pair, and my feet feel like they are riding on a cushion all day. There are no spots that rub feet or toes. I only wish there were regular shoes made that are as "feet friendly". Thanks for the great sandals.

Foamy water sandals
As light as flip-flops, Mions are the most comfortable water sandals I have ever tried. Unlike other water sandals that are designed for good traction on wet rocks but not for fording rivers, Mions will also protect you feet under water. The tips of your toes are covered, and your ankles are also somewhat protected by the thick foam that the entire sandals are made of. The sole provides enough cushioning for, say, a day hike with a light pack, and will definitely protect you on rocky terrain. I would recommend these sandals for summer hikes that may involve crossing streams (e.g. Hawaii, Patagonia etc.), and as the lightest protection you are likely to get away with when white-water rafting. On the down side, if your feet tend to sweat you may still get blisters even though the sandals are very soft, because the upper portion is not breathable. They are also relatively wide, so if you have low-volume feet they may not be ideally suited for you. If you like wearing your sandals with socks, be warned that these grippy sandals will do their best to pull your socks off.
