Awesome
I plan on being very warm this winter! definitley order a size up if you have anything but super short arms. I consider myself as having a small frame and short arms so i was happy with the length, but still went a size up.

I love the jacket
It's great! It's light and warm (didn't realize I could feel so warm and free in the winter!) and definitely carried me through the New England winter. A light sweater underneath would keep you toasty even on particularly chilly days.

Awesome warmth and fit!
Purchased the Sub Zero for my wife - who's always cold! Needless to say, this was the perfect coat and price. She's petite but we still opted for a medium in case you layered with a sweater or heavier shirt. The shorter cut is also appealing - no parka feel and looks more conforming.

Awesome jacket for cold weather!
I live in Chicago and we are having a brutal winter (2007-2008) this year. I bought the Mountain Hardwear jacket to protect against the cold and harsh winds and wow, did it deliver!! I wish it had a warm hood, though. Apart from that, I loved the nice snug fit and stylish look along with the great protection. A definite good buy.

Warm, lightweight, and functional.
My husband and I did a lot of research on down jackets and decided on this for its functionality, cost and appearance. This jacket is well-thought out. The hand warmer pockets are very warm, the chest zip pocket is great for keys (especially when you have on a pack), and the sturdier material in the wear zones is perfect. We live at 7,000 feet in the Sierras and this jacket keeps me warm. I'm 5'2" and normally wear a size 4 or 6 petite and this jacket fits me perfectly.

Best cold weather jacket
I get cold very easily. This weather keeps me very warm. When I drive to work in the mornings, I don't have to turn on the heat. Sometimes I have to roll down the window so I don't burn up. It's super comfortable and light. Everyone should have this jacket.

Great Jacket keeps you toasty warm
Bought this jacket to wear as a belay jacket for ice climbing. It kept me toasty warm throughout the day. It is light and packs down well so doesn't take up too much room in the pack for the hike in and out from the climb.

Worth every penny
This jacket has surpassed all of my expectations. I can wear this jacket into sub-zero temperatures, just like it says, and not lose a bit of body heat. With the recent low temperatures we've been getting in the northeast, I am VERY happy I purchased this jacket! The one thing I had read in other reviews was that the jacket seems a little short around the waist/hips. It seems to ride up a little when I wear it with a backpack, however the elastics on the inside can be adjusted so it fits more snug and holds it in place better. All said and done, I am extremely happy with it and will probably have it for a long time!

WOW!
I have been looking for a down jacket like this for a while. It looked great so I ordered it and I was extremely pleased. With winter temperatures in Northern Maine hovering around 0 and having to stay out on the ski trails to watch my children's nordic races, I find I am NEVER cold. The fleece pockets and breast pocket are also great additions to this jacket. The velcro cuffs are wonderful. It's a winner!

Excellent
This is an excellent, warm, light, sturdy down jacket for real wear, not fashion. Stuffs into tiny bread loaf size, but fluffs out to real warmth. Extra tough fabric at wear points. Excellent fit. Wish the jacket came in a model with a hood!

Awesome!
I bought this jacket a couple of months ago and just had a chance to use it this past week-end in sub-zero temps. It was awesome. Kept me toasty warm. I'm usually a size medium but took your advice on the fit issue so I went with a large. Fits a little big on me still but with an extra layer underneath (which is usally the case for winter camping) it fits perfect. I'm in love with my jacket. Order and delivery were fast and no complications coming into Canada.

Great Jacket
I bought it for my wife for x-mas and she loved it. The color deep sea was the best and I will be buying onw for myself soon. It arrived a lot sooner than I expected. The only problem was that I had to pick it up from the shipper because they said that my name was not on apartment registry. It is. My only suggestion is that when I order my jacket, that it be shipped via usps-they can obviously get my packages to me.

Super duper puffy and comfy!
As I'm newer to winter sports, I'm looking forward to giving this black beauty a test run when the snow falls. It INSTANTLY warmed me up, and was the perfect fit. It fits right BETWEEN a regular and a petite, which is perfect for me, but might prove problematic for some??? I love it---super plush, warm, and comfy!

It can be difficult finding a winter coat that combines style and function. But, the Sub Zero Jacket by Mountain Hardware is able to do it with ease. The jacket is light weight yet heavy enough for the cold northern temps. It is stylish fun. Love it! The ordering process was quick and easy. The jacket arrived in as little as three days. Great company to do business with.

Wonderful jacket, so warm
I have used this jacket in South America during winter, obviously its very cold at this season, but I always wore this jacket and didnt feel cold. Sometimes I put this jacket between my legs (like mid sleeping bag) and it worked so well. Finally, it looks very fashionable.

Nice looking, functional coat
I also purchased this coat for my girlfriend as a Christmas present. She has a small frame but longer arms, so I had to send back the size 8 and get a size 10. Size definately fits smaller. The arms are still a bit short, but it's still a great looking coat. She's usually cold but loves the warmth of this coat.

LOVE IT!!!
Already a MH fan, the Sub Zero is perfect for winters in NH. I love the shorter length, b/c as we all know, down coats can be pretty bulky. With this coat, you get the warmth but don't feel like you're encased in a giant marshmallow. It's incredibly lightweight and condenses down to practically nothing--perfect for throwing in your backpack for some winter hiking. The fleece-lined pockets are an extra-nice touch. My favorite thing about the coat is the adjustable velcro cuff on the sleeves so you can seal out the wind. Love it!

Mtn. Hardware Sub Zero Jacket - Great
This jacket was purchased as a gift. The recipient of the gift seemed very pleased with the fit and look of the jacket. The only complaint would be that the sleeves seem to run just a tiny bit short.Personally I like the look of the jacket much better than the commonly worn North Face jacket.

++++++++!!
This jacket worked out great!! I ended up buying my son a women's size 10 (identical jacket to men's small but shorter sleeves and slightly narrower) at the suggestion of the tech support person when I called (they are consistently the nicest and most well informed customer service people I have dealt with) He's hard to fit and this was a creative solution. And Mountain Hardwear never disappoints.

For the long, cold, belay....
I love this coat; it's toasty and compresses well into a stuff sack for travel. The body is a bit short, though. Long torsos might be better off with a men's for the best back coverage.

good coat, good looking shape
a little short in the torso, but pretty spacey and wide on the inside, if you are really skinny it will not be fitted, but with down jackets they don't have to be super fitted.

Good Deal, Warm, A little on the short side tho
Good price for the warmth this jacket delivers. This jacket runs small. I wear a size 6 and had to order a size 8 to fit sweaters underneath. For my taste it is a little on the short side. I find myself tightening the waste of the jacket to prevent it from riding even higher.

Beautiful coat, not as warm as anticipated.
I don't believe I'm one of those perpetually cold individuals but this wasn't as warm as I'd hoped. It definitely needs some layering beneath, but I do love it despite that fact. It has fleece-lined pockets which are a wonderful and I love the length- it stops just at the hip. It's made well and I get complimented regularly.

A great buy...
I purchased this jacket for my girlfriend for Christmas and she absolutely loves it. The sleeves and waste tend to ride up a bit, as Mountain Hardwear jackets tend to run slightly smaller than others. Overall, however, the well priced jacket was a great buy.

Light & Very Warm
The Sub Zero jacket is light, very warm, and looks great. It will keep you toasty on even the coldest Chicago winter days. The fleece lined pockets are a plus. The only slight drawback is that the length of the jacket's body is on the shorter side, so it will not keep your hips as warm as longer jackets. However, some women might prefer this more feminine (but slightly less warm) style.

Warmth to the Max!
I recently bought the Sub Zero for my girlfriend this Christmas, and she loves it! We live in Alberta, Canada, where the temp regularly drops below 30 celsius, so we really value a warm winter jacket. She doesn't know how she managed to survive without one for so many years! It's a little bulky, but lightweight and warm, perfect from +5 to -30! Definitely a satisfied buyer.

Good jacket but...
This would be a great jacket but the sleeves are a bit short for me. However, I am tall (5'10") and my arms are longer than most. Measurements aside, the jacket is very warm and it great for ripping the slopes as well as walking to the bars.
