Sizing ChartPatagonia Men's Ultra Shorts
Endorphin rushes need not be restricted to the 100-mile ultra runner. Multi-pocketed, loose and long, these shorts have a versatility that makes any endurance event addictive. The new ripstop polyester fabric is lightweight, quick to dry and chafe-free. Ultras feature an elastic waist with drawcord, two front drop-in pockets, two large back pockets (with three short stitched compartments for secure storage), two narrow side pockets for gel packs, a gusseted crotch and a Capilene? liner. Cut fuller and longer than Long Haul Runners. Inseam, size M, is 9".
- New fabric is lighter weight which speeds dry times and has a smooth hand for non-chafing comfort
- Elastic waist with drawcord
- Two front drop-in pockets
- Two large back pockets with three short small stitched compartments that keep valuables, energy bars or gel packs from bouncing out of the pocket
- Two narrow side pockets for gel packs
- Lightweight, breathable liner with Capilene performance
- 3.5-oz. 50 x 50 denier ripstop polyester with a wicking finish. Lining: 2.5-oz. microdenier polyester crepe with moisture-wicking performance

These are the only shorts I go running in any more. Even here in hot TX, the shorts dry quickly and don't chafe. The pockets are nice for keys and gel without being a pain to get into when you do want something.

excellent high quality short form patagonia. i have used these primarily for gym workouts, and occasionally on the trail and in the pool. versatile, durable and comfortable in all aspects. the one drawback would be the drawstring, which slips and only temporarily tighten the shorts around your waist. would definitely buy another pair.

Light and loose, Patagonia's Ultra Shorts have a longer inseam than most trail running shorts, but they're not restrictive. Good shorts if you're tearing up the trail.
