We use 700-fill-power white down clusters and this season, a highly water-repellent, downproof and more durable ripstop polyester shell. New quilted side panels enhance mobility and decrease bulk. With zippered handwarmer pockets, a drawcord hem and an interior zippered stash pocket. Femininely contoured. Deluge® DWRPatagonia?s proprietary durable water repellent fabric finish, Deluge DWR, lasts substantially longer than standard DWRs. Garments with the Deluge DWR finish have like-new repellency after years of extensive use.

I got this jacket for my wife for our hike up Mt. Kilimanjaro and she is very happy with it. The medium jacket fits her size 5.2 frame perfectly. While it is 700 fill, it is still lightweight and packs small enough to fit in our pack. She likes the fleece collar. She is even able to fit a heavy fleece underneath it should she need it. Her only complaint is its a tad bulky around the shoulders.

My wife and I have been loyal Patagonia customers for over a decade because we like their philosophy, their politics, and their products. I gave this jacket to my wife for Xmas, just in time for the truly cold weather here in Philly. The jacket is very warm despite its light weight. I have to be honest, though, it took me a while to accept the look of the jacket. It is fitted in the torso, but it is still puffy in parts. It makes my wife look a bit like an olympic swimmer from the back. That being said, I don't know that you can eat your cake and have it too. Down parkas are effective insulators precisely because they are lofty/puffy. So the parka gets 5 stars for being warm, light, and somewhat feminine.

This is my new all-purpose jacket! The color is great (Morel) and goes well with anything. And its so warm! I've had it for 3 weeks now and so far its holding up pretty well. Though its been a very mild winter so far, I'm optimistic that it'll keep me warm through the colder winter months.

I bought this one for my girl friend. It fits like it was made for her. It definitely has the capability of handling moderately cold weather down to 0 degrees in the outdoors but she is looking forward to going shopping and out on the town with it.

I never owned a down coat, prior to purchasing the Patagonia down jacket. I have been completely satisfied and would definitely recommend this coat to women who are looking for a durable and extremely warm jacket. The sleeves are long and provide plenty of room to warm your hands in.

I love this jacket - it's incredibly warm, water resistant and not too heavy/bulky. Washes well too - I get mine dirty alot. I liked it so much that I just bought another one for a great price. Highly recommended.

Its extremely warm, i highly recommend down filling for the coldest temperatures. Bulky, but not too bad for active plans. It is not, however, the most flattering jacket.

I've used this jacket for work and play for the last couple of weeks. The temps have been in the single digits and below, and I've gone out with just a mid-weight polypro shirt under it and was warm. It's roomy in the sleeves, and body and was great for snow shoeing and really frigid cross country skiing!! The wind block is exceptionally good, and I highly recommend it for a variety of winter outdoor activities.

I bought this jacket for wear in windy Chicago and it has kept me warm and makes an easy transition from cross country skiing to shopping downtown. Best of all, it fits well. With princess seams, it looks sleek rather than bulky.

Otherwise great and the sleeves are nice and long. I wear it around town at 30 below. I wore it skiing at 20 below the other day. The waist is the only issue - I wish it were longer or had a better system for drawing it tight. So it isn't my perfect coat, but I really like it.

It's almost hard to believe that a jacket that is this light can keep you so warm. The design is very flattering and functional--the centaur sleeves enable you to go without gloves in many situations. So far the fabric has held up well in a horse barn environment where you can get scraped and nicked a lot. Have noticed only a minimum leakeage of feathers. Travels well in it's pouch so you can always have it handy. My only complaint is that the inside of the collar which is light colored soils easily. Generously sized.

I'd read that the sleeves were long on this jacket, but I was surprised at just how long they are! I had to send it back; the sleaves were too puffy to push up over my wrists with all those extra inches of length!

I recently purchased a Patagonia women's down jacket for my wife. She thought that it was nicely constructed, and very warm. However, I suggested that she send it back because it was so short. However, she refused. But now--since the weather has gotten cold--she no longer wears the jacket. Even she has been forced to admit that it makes no sense to wear a down jacket if your midriff is exposed.This is a well constructed jacket. But unless you are very short-waisted you should to look elsewhere.

Maybe I was just unlucky, but two is a row --ccmon! Feathers were leaking out of the bottom of the sleeves. EVERYONE knew I was wearing a down jacket cause of the nice little trail of feathers I lfet behind. Awful jacket.
