Don't like backpacks anymore due to stress on neck/shoulders. This is an AWESOME bag. I love all the pockets, it holds as much as an everyday backpack and does it comfortably. I love to use it when I travel and hike. Can put my Digital SLR and all essentials for 3-season day hikes, and all-day urban adventures. The compression straps make it all possible. Gonna buy the Sport Hiker right now.

This pack is the perfect combination of easy to carry hip belt, which is big enough for plenty of stuff. I am using it both for day to day carrying and for bicycling. The colors are very nice, I really love it

I've been looking for a good fanny pack for a couple of years now. Finally came across the Northface Dayhiker and I LOVE it. Very spacious and well designed with compartments. Comfortable padding on the belt. Nice color choices! I even own the Northface Sport Hiker. (same design but smaller). Love them both!!

i love my new bag...its great for lots of day trips and for day to day use, expecially when im running around all day-i can put my school and work things in the bag and still have room. the straps have lots of padding so my shoulder,hips and back dont hurt. has compartments for EVERYTHING!
Sara Burnside - 2008-02-16Needed some tweaking!
I love this bag, but after purchasing it I quickly realized that I will NEVER use it as a waist pack. It's a perfect size for daily use and for trips. I figured that I would tuck away the waist pack straps, but it made the bag very bulky. I contemplated sending it back for about 2 seconds then decided to make some changes. I used an exacto knife to carefully cut the stitching and ended up completely removing the waist straps, thus alleviating the bulk problem. I realize that North Face makes messenger bags, but they don't have the structure this bag does, nor the amount of pockets to organize my stuff. I love this bag, now!!!!!!
JUSTIN GEORGE HELD - 2007-12-13Needed some alterations
Pack was great after I reinforced the waist belt with some stiff inserts. The North Face needs to include this with pack for better support for more gear. I put all my gear in it witch equals 18lbs total. Much better w/ inserts. Nice pack and holds alot of gear.

Had 2 reinforce stitching in a few areas and also reinforce waist belt to withstand weight of my gear. I always new I'd be a good designer! Hey North Face, need a Maguaver on your crew?
