That's because The North Face designed the Khumbu TKA 200 fleece material with a durable anti-pill surface that's ideal for climbing, hiking or hauling stacks of textbooks home from school. The relaxed fit works well for layering with a range of clothing, so most kids can opt for their Khumbu throughout the year unless there's a downpour in the forecast. My daughter has been wearing it for a week now and she wouldn't wear any other jackets. She loves it. I also got her a youth hoodie, which I have washed once and it still looks and feels brand new. The hoodie is so soft to the touch.

I bought this jacket for my daughter for Christmas and she is very pleased with it. It's very well made and she says it's very warm. She can layer under it if she needs to. The lightweight warmth is perfect for those cooler early winter days but still comfortable when the temps reach the 60's. I purchased 2 girls jackets sz. large for my daughters ages 14 & 16. Like mentioned in other reviews the jackets run big. Big as in wider primarly. I, myself, can also wear the jacket but it "looks" just a bit short on a longer torso. I don't know if the XL would be any longer.

i got a khumbu jacket last year and i wear it all the time! they do not have the color i got now (a turquoise with gray stripe)I like this better than the other fleece jackets. They are more unique, less expensive, and look more like a girl's jacket(even though i'm not a girly girl!). I would recommend to everyone! It rocks!
