Sizing ChartFit Tip: This jacket runs true to size, I typically wear a small and the arms and torso were the right size in a small. The hem hits at the hip right above the thigh. The buckle can be cinched or loosened as desired.

Saw this jacket at a fantastic price and got it in black. I started to have second thoughts, but when jacket arrived,I fell in love with it! Size S fits perfectly even when wearing a thick sweater (I wear a size 4),don't size up because shoulders tend to look bulky. I wish it were a bit longer, but its good enough. Can't wait to wear this next winter!

Best coat I have ever bought. Extremely warm and not too bulky. I like how it covers my bottom a bit. In the Minnesota winters leather seats can be more like sitting on ice cubes. This jacket makes sitting on ice cubes comfortable:)

I moved from London to ND and North Face has become my newest best friend. I've brought various other North Face coats, but got tired of the Marshmallow look. I brought this jacket, and it looks adorable. The fur was not as picture i.e. it was very flat and not at all fluffy looking. I agree with another post that mentioned that the coat crackles in the cold. I wore this coat in -22 weather a wind chill factor of -45, and I crackled a lot! Despite the crackling, it's a good looking and very warm jacket. I'll be returning the black jacket as it just didn't look as hot as the brown one that I have. I guess its just a matter of personal taste.. Enjoy this jacket without having to compromise on fashion!!

I bought this for my college daughter at the University of Iowa (where it is very cold this year). She says she has never been warmer; and says she can wear short sleeved shirts, and remain toasty while waiting for the commuter bus. That says a lot..she is always cold. It looks great on, size is right on. I am a very happy mom. I bought a different North Face for my other daughter, and I feel the same, excellent product.

This jacket is everything i hoped it would be, not too bulky but extremely warm. Its perfect for any occasion. I really liked all the extra pockets, especially the ipod pocket inside the coat. This jacket is perfect for the cold! Altrec also did an amazing job, fast service and quick follow-ups. I got mine in black and it's great. A lot of pocket room to keep your iPod and wallet in there. The hood fits securely around you face to prevent cold winds from getting to you. Nice and fluffy on the inside (could be used as a pillow) Overall great coat, great price, and great service!! Extremely happy!

The jacket overall is warm and as shown in Altrec's video. The upperarms tend to be a bit "poofier" than I would have expected/liked. The fur-attachment is large and luxurious. The somewhat bulkiness of the jacket is tamed with the belt, giving the waist a contoured shape.

Girls...This is truly an AMAZING COAT! I was kind of leery to buy it, thinking that it might be all big and puffy and make me look like a marshmellow. BUT NO, I was totally wrong, this coat is very slendering with it's tailored look and belt! It is also absolutely amazing in cold weather, and totally wind proof. It has been 0' degrees out this past two weeks, and I didn't grab for anything else but my Greenland Jacket! It was so warm, even when sitting in my cold car in the sub zeros! Look at the jacket and read the ad. This is NOT a ski or snowboard jacket. It is, however, the perfect jacket for very cold, wet weather when you want to look quite fashionable. I have ski jackets, but I wanted a truly warm, dry jacket that is longer than a traditional ski jacket. This is it. The fit is flattering, the faux fur is beautiful, and I am extremely happy with the Greenland.

This jacket was the only I found that looked feminine, was down for warmth and waterproof as well. The fur around the hood is atractive and can be easily zipped off for skiing or a different look. The belt and lack of quilting does make the jacket more atractive than most down jackets. I do wish the jacket was 2-3 inches longer for cold, windy weather, but that's a small trade-off.

It's a great Jacket! I like it, it keeps me really warm outside, but the buckle is pretty bad! I think its a little to small and it should be metal so it could support the jacket much better. Its almost $300! Nothing on this jacket should break that easily.

This is the jacket I dreamed of! It's super warm & looks cute! I had to get a smaller size because the arms were slightly bulky, but it is a ski jacket, so....
Only real issue was an odor (which was probably from manufacturing, so I exchanged it). The zipper has given me some trouble, but nothing I can't handle.
Good buy at this price!!

I am a photographer and have to be outside a fair amount of time not for an extended period. This jacket really made all the difference during our 35 below zero wind chill and negative temperatures.
It's also very flattering to a womens figure, having the belt really dresses it up for a winter jacket.
It's light enough to be able to wear it in and out, the hood is a perfect size and it's a photographers dream to have a pocket on the sleeve.
The only thing I noticed that is a disappointment is that it picks up a lot of lint, but a lint roller took care of most of that

i bought my jacket for the warmth, not style, and does a good job in the cold. I like that the fur trim zips off of the hood, however the hood is rather large and i wish there was some way to keep it from falling off your head when you want your ears covered. i wouldnt buy this jacket at full price but definately on sale!

This is great jacket et al. It was a little shorter than I thought after seeing it on the North Face website but Altrec's pic helped clear that up. If I had any complaints it's with the sizing. I bought the size based on what I buy from other companies & really to be able to put on something heavier underneath - say, a polar fleece layer or a sweater - I really could have used a size up. I won't return it since there is nothing else at stock this time of year but I will keep that in mind with this company in the future. I am THRILLED with Altrec - great response to email inquiries, fast shipping, great returns set up from the looks of the paperwork. I'm glad I got here from the North Face site.

I had a Greenland before, it last 3 years, but unfortunately, i damaged it by putting it to DRY CLEAN. It became very flat, like a spring jacket. So make sure you read the LABLE. But anyway, it is a good coat and it do last. :-D

I love the Jacket but for some reason the weather really got bad and went 10 degrees below 0 and when removed my jacket coming from outside the buckle from the belt easily broke I guess it got crunchy 'coz of the weather now I'm knida upset coz I dont know where to find a replacement for the buckle, please help, I know this is not a forum but...HELP!!

The Greenland is a very warm coat and looks great on. Got lots of compliments. It is, however, puffier than I expected. Also, wish it was 2 or 3 inches longer. The one major negative is it's propensity to attract a lot of lint which is hard to remove. I wore a new cashmere sweater and used up almost half of a lint roller on the coat.
