A GREAT fleece shirt. As recommended by another customer of yours, I ordered 1 size larger (XL) than I normally do for a less snug fit - and as I was led to believe, it fit perfectly with additional room for layering. Very comfortable!

I purchased this shirt as a mid layer for skiing, and the shirt performed beautifully. I agree with the other reviewers that noted the shirt runs a bit small. I usually take a Large, but ordered the XL and it fit the bill.

Favorite shirt
This is my favorite shirt. Lightweight and warm. I'm 5' 8" 155lbs and I got the medium. Fits perfect. I should have bought more than one. Have to wait for Altrec to get more in stock.

Liket it a lot !
This is my 2nd fleece after the Denali, the Polartec 100 is of great feel and although is a rather close fit, if you order it a size bigger it won't feel too crumped. It is very lightweight and a pleasure to wear under my TNF Mountain Guide Gore Tex Jacket. Also bought one from my wife and she loves this one too. Definitely another great fleece from TNF.

Very Small Fitting
This is a great fleece but it is very small. I own several North Face shirts that are very similar and I always wear a large. I ordered a large and I can't even put it on. I gave it to my girlfriend and she loves the shirt. So if you order this shirt order one or two sizes bigger or it will not fit you.

i got this shirt for a mid layer under a softshell and found out it is warm and silky soft.the strech panels are a nice touch.this shirt is perfect as a next to skin layer and eliminates the need for a mid layer.a good looking and versatile piece.

Great all-purpose top
Love this shirt. Works well for running in chilly weather, or around town under a waterproof shell. Soft, almost cashmere like feel to the fabric. Runs a little small so you may need to go up a size. As always, Altrec provided great service and fast delivery.

the is the best winter accesory ever
The Aurora shirt by North Face is a must addtion to the winter wardrobe. It is light but warm and one really needs nothing else but a coat on a cold winter's day. I love it and so does everyone in our family. We all have several, only wish there were more colors.

great cool weather fleece
Wonderful cold weather active wear fleece. Its been great for running in the fall, and I can still wear it as I warm up during the run. Thin and light enough to keep in my cycling bag for commutes to work also. Highly recommneded.

What a great shirt!
This is by far my favourite piece of clothing. It is extremely lightweight and very flexible - the perfect companion for cooler days. I've wearn it hiking Mt. Shasta, sitting in an air conditioned bus from Vietnam to Cambodia, and also during cool evenings here in L.A. If you want a versatile light shell for the mountain as well as for the town, this is your best choice.

Great item to keep you warm and lighten your load.
Trouble deciding which peice of clothing to leave behind to help lighten the load? Simple soulution. Combining my rain jacket with The North Face Aurora Zip solved the problem of having to take an outer shell. By using the Aurora Zip under the rain shell I found I could leave the bulkier outer jacket at home. The Aurora Zip is a great layering piece. I have found it to be very comfortable and warm by itself. A great item to make the trips a little lighter.

Close fit, very warm for weight
Close fitting for easy layering, and the warmth to weight ratio is unbelievable! As warm as it is, it still transitions well for going from the cold outdoors to warmth and not feeling like you'll burst into flames.

Its a great shirt. I have three of them. I use them mostly for skiing right now. But I am sure they will be great for the spring and fall. My only regret was you ran out of my size in a couple of different colors. I would have ordered more.

Luxuriously soft material and given the cut will work well under soft shell jackets - the tapered tight fitting cut may be a little snug for most body types. If you're looking for a little extra warmth under that soft shell, though, this may be your answer.

Durable, comfortable, and worth the price.
Its light, comfortable, and keeps you really warm. Some times too warm for moderate weather. The sizes run a bit smaller than the norm, so if you got a bit around the waist, get one size up. It is also durable. I have a cat who likes to paw on my Aurora. Unlike other fleece tops, it does't shed as much, nor does it tear...its not surprising, its a north face. I have other cheaper versions, and their reasons for being cheaper is quite clear. They just don't match up to the above qualities.

Perfect perfomance layer for activity

Fantastic Purchase
I love this garment! Although I purchased it primarily for bicycle touring, I am already considering purchasing another . The cut is comfortable and the feel of the fleece is soft and luxurious. It has impressive insulating qualities as a midlayer, superior wicking as a first layer. On several chilly morning rides, I have used it comfortably with only an outer-shell and while riding home on a warm afternoon, have had no inclination to remove it. As I am concerned with weight while I tour, I am convinced that this garment will offer me comfort in a wide range of temperatures while being incredibly light. The only downside is the sleeves are several inches too long and the cuffs are not 'elastic' enough to keep the sleeves from crawling.

Aurora Zip Neck #1
I love the North Face Aurora Zip Neck fleece. I'm a college student and when it's cold out I always carry it around with me in my backpack. The Aurora is so lightweight that it takes up no room in my backpack yet when I need to wear it on my walks to and from class it keeps me just as warm as a winter coat. I also wear my Aurora when running, working out, and even casually b/c it looks great with jeans. I would highly recommend this product.
