Sizing ChartFit Tip: At 6 foot 2 inches tall and a medium build, I was pleased with how the size medium fit. The sleeve length was good...which sometimes is hard to find for someone my height in a size medium jacket.
The North Face Men's Pumori Jacket
If we had to make a list of indispensable items for year-round outdoor adventures, this Men's Pumori Jacket from The North Face would rank near the top. Some fleece is too thick for summer backpacking, other fleece is too thin for anything except middle layering, but the Pumori is just right with midweight Polartec® 200 Series fleece. You can wear it as a middle layer in the winter (it is zip-in compatible and zips into other jackets made by The North Face--just remember to pick the same size) or wear it as outerwear on camping trips. The one thing that the Pumori Jacket doesn't have is the nylon reinforcement panels along the shoulders like the slightly heavier Denali Jackets by The North Face. That means that if you backpack or climb extensively with a pack, you may notice some pilling and wear along abrasion points beneath the straps.

I bought it as a primary zip-in, my Denali is too bulky and loosely fit as a zip-in. On it's own the Pumori is perfect for moderate fall/spring mornings, not sure how well it will fare on cold winter day. My Denali is warm enough on it's own down to about 15 - 20F if there is no wind. I expect that this one given it's weight will get me down into the 30s.

I use this jacket either as an outer layer or underneath my Varius Guide jacket, and it performs admirably in either application. I think the 200 weight fleece is great. Its not too thick so that it can't be used as a mid layer, nor is it too thin so that it can't be used as an outer layer on moderately cool days.

Overall, this is a very good looking fleece jacket that performs as well as it looks. The Pumori men's fleece has several functional pockets, inside and out, as well as a very durable exterior that keeps you warm whent he tempreature drops in the 50's as well as looks good to wear both as a casual jacket or a semi-formal jacket to work.

This is the 3rd mens Pumori Jacket I have purchased. I procured the first one a few years ago for my oldest son and my youngest liked so much he requested that I acquire the same jacket for him. Unfortunately, while at college someone must have admired his too much and walked off with it. Now, in order to make things equal again in the family I purchased my 3rd Pumori Jacket. The Pumori is a very durable, but lightweight fleece jacket for any occasion. The price is right and it has the backing The North Face. My oldest son has taken his all over the country and used it hard. When washed, it has the look and feel of a new jacket. Thanks to Altrec for the great service (tracking) and pricing. I will be back for more shopping with the upcoming holiday season just a few months away.

I had purchased a Mountain HArdware Ozone jacket, XL, but it was too snug around the belly for me. Very nice quality. I returned it for this TNF Pumori jacket - and glad I did! NIce quality fleece, sleeves not too long, and nice and comfortable around the waist. (I'm 5'6", 220). I also wnt to add that Altrec's customer service was spectacular!! I had no idea on these jackets (never owned either brand; mostly LL Bean) and they were excellent (Thanks, Xandy and Teri)

I got the Jacket for my husband. He Loves the jacket.He wears it everywhere. What's great about it for him is he can wear it on cool days or on cold days and it gives him the warmth he needs. Also what I like about it is when it comes to washing the jacket it comes out looking great. No fading or shrinking. Just a great jacket overall I plan to buy one for myself. I am very happy with the choice I made in getting the Pumori Jacket.

I really enjoy my Pumori Jacket from the North Face. It is warm and just the right everything. I love the color options that are available for purchase and I just love this jacket. I would buy another jacket again like this but since I already have one I probably will buy another North Face Jacket with a different style. It was a great buy fast shipping perfect service. I got the jacket a few days ago and I've been using it everyday! The jacket feels lighter than it looks. It's great for sending your kids to school in- they won't get too hot or too cold in it. However, it's not going to keep you from the wind. Better try the windwall 1

I got this to zip into my north face shell, but it doesn't fit. Only one side zips in. The other side has an incompatable zipper end. Yes, I tried numerous times to get it to work, but close inspection showed the zipper ends are slightly different. This defeats the purpose of a liner. I'm going to have to return it. Bummer.

I ordered the Graphite Grey one & it fits perfectly in a Large (I'm 6'1" 200lbs w/ an athletic build). It's nice for a mid-weight fleece but nothing that is going to keep you extremely warm. The color is kind of a greyish brown....still nice. Buy it! Altrec.com is a GREAT company.

I recently used this jacket on a backpacking trip just off Lake Superior. With the lows in the 40's I didn't feel a thing. I recommend this jacket for its warmth to weight/price ratio. My only fault is the zipper sometimes get stuck on the fabric.

I am very satisfied with the Pumori I recently purchased from Altrec,especially at 20% off list.It is worth full price. It is warm,200 polartec ensures that,and does a nice job of rejecting moisture outside,while not accumulating inside. Great by itself or as a mid-layer. Of course it is zip-in compatible with most TNF outers,such as my TNF mountain light jacket which I recently used in conjunction with the Pumori on the slopes. They were a match made in heaven. This fleece is just the right weight and price.

There are a million Polartec 200 weight jackets on the market. However, not all have a lined reinforced collar, upgraded zippers, and high quality stitching of the TNF Pumori. Nothing fancy, but an excellent value if purchased on sale. Compare to Marmot Firelight.

Although it's a good all around jacket, I don't like the fabric and styling changes they've made in the last few years. Fleece is not as good, back side of collar and new vertical flange of fabric opposite front zipper is shiny fabric and not at all attractive when worn open.

My husband had a patagonia fleece jacket that he bought in 1986 at REI in portland, OR and literaly wore down to nothing. He wouldn't give it up until I could replace it. This jacket is perfect !! This is my second Pumori. The Pumori is one of the most comfortable layers to slip under a shell. It will zip into most brands that are so equiped and the sleeves will connect to TNF shells made for zip in liners. The accommodating fit works well when worn with a shell of the same size as a winter jacket.

I LOVE this jacket. I was looking for something to wear as a mid-layer, something between my Patagonia R2/R1 and my TNF Denali (another awesome jacket), also something that will fit in for semi-casual office-wear, and the Pumori fits the bill perfectly! Looks great, top quality as always with TNF, only thing is, it's a little on the bigger side (should've known that after buying the Denali recently), but this is just me being nitpicky. Also, props to Altrec for great service!

Purchased to use with compatible outer shell (Gore tex XCR Summit series). The XCR shell is an XL, so I purchased the XL Pumori fleece. When the fleece and outer shell are combined (zip-in) the jacket becomes a little tight - reducing your overall flexibility. The fleece itself is very nice.

the jacket is is cosmeticaly great but it has a rather loose fit. i do alot of climbing so a loose fit fit means a loss of warmth. a great city fleece out in the bush its got nothing....
