Lightweight and highly compressible, this down jacket is sure to keep you warm while traversing from the slope to bar with its fully adjustable, removable insulated hood, two handwarmer pockets, and tuckaway powder skirt. Featuring an internal security pocket, internal goggle cloth pocket, buddy lift clip, forearm pocket with goggle cloth, and Recco® avalanche rescue reflector, the Verdi Down Jacket has the goods to keep you out there until the final lift or last call.

This jacket looks good, is warm, is functional both on the slopes and in town... it has plenty of useful pockets for wallets, keys, ipods etc, and those same pockets are useful on the slopes as well as the powder skirt... I love it except that it fits really big. I had to buy another one, one size down. Good thing I found someone to buy the bigger size!

Much nicer than the images suggest. The tweed effect is very subtle and elevates the look of the jacket. I was surprised at how light it was, compared to say, a McMurdo. It's got a lot of thoughtful technical features but then looks great on the street too.

Our college teenager and all his friends live for anything North Face! So when I saw this coat it was a win win! It has everything you could ever want...tons of pockets, hood, great zippers, and length! Mp3 holder, cell phone pockets! The fabric is new and so cool! It took our U Dub's breath away! A must have for serious North Face fans!

I am very pleased with the North Face Verdi Down Jacket. The collar and powder skirt provide protection from the elements and I love the way the pit zips have a mesh barrier when opened so snow can't enter the coat when you are venting. The hood has a functional and unique "lock down feature" that is easy to use and bombproof. I have worn this jacket twice in 15 degree weather skiing and all I had to wear underneath was a thin polypro shirt; what an amazing feeling of mobility! Drop the layers and go for warmth and mobility, not to mention style.

Great coat, well made, lots of thoughtful feature. Very warm though. This coat does offer vents but even being inactive with the vents open, this coat is hot in anything above freezing. Had some negative temperature days with heavy wind and don't even notice it in this coat. If only I could find gloves this warm...

Got this jacket to replace my North Face McMurdo.. By the way STAY AWAY from Ebay North Face deals, there's lots of knock offs on Ebay.. Only buy from reputable sellers offering Money Back Guarantee, such as Altrec..Back to the review.. My only SMALL complaint, this jacket is 2" shorter than the McMurdo.. It is after all a snowboard jacket, not a parka..I like:-SUPERB attention to detail. All the zips are hidden with flaps. The main zip has a reinforced handle-tab. The headphones pass thru the jacket. The draw strings have hidden keepers so they don't hang + snag. The powder skirt can be snapped in place when not in use. The goggle pocket has a microfibre cloth built in. The collar innard has soft polyester for no rubbing.-The outer surface finish looks smart, neat, and classy. VERY UNGENERIC.-Holds up well on a windy Canadian winter night. -Has an ear height collar.

Just wanted to pass along how pleased I am with my purchase of the Verdi Down Tweed Jacket. The tweed fabric is a really cool twist, and definitely worth the extra expense. I live in the south, but wanted to replace my old "heavy" jacket with something new. This is more than adequate weight for my area, and hope to wear it on a trip to NYC!

This is a great jacket but sizing is larger than standard and the jacket is heavier (in weight) than expected. Sleeves are very long. Ordered a Medium but I think I will have to exchange for a Small.

This jacket certainly looks nice and is somewhat different than they typical down jacket, mainly due to the tweed looking fabric. I have it in brown. The fit is good. I typically order things in XL, but a large in this fit me perfectly. I am 6'4" and the sleeve length is perfect, which usually is an issue. Even though it is 600 fill down, I don't find it to be that warm. I couldn't find that actual amount of down, in terms of ounces, in any of the specs. Also, it's a jacket, not a parka, and doesn't extend much beyond one's waist. I believe it has a waterproof coating, but it is not windproof. It does have some great features--the internal powder skirt that prevents snow from getting inside, numerous pockets and a very functional hood that is filled with down. Overall, I thought it would be warmer due to the 600 fill rating.
