Hiking in Olympic National Park during an October rain storm, you can be confident the Gore-Tex® waterproof membrane will stand up to the test. With a Vibram® outsole and dual density midsole, the Fortress Peak will deliver the comfort and support you need to carry a heavy load on a multi-day trek.

I traveled up to Denali Park in Alaska, and these hiking boots surpassed all my tests, they are comfortable, waterproof and look good. However like with any hiking boot, you want to break them in first so you dont get blisters. Very Impressed, will continue to purchase North Face in the future.
